How on earth can it already be April?

Loath:
- zits that have sprouted on my chin, ruining the complexion that I work way too hard and spend way too much money on maintaining
- forcing myself to not text or call Boxer because I don't want him to think I'm desperate. I mean, I'm not!
- deadlines
- my schedule. it's impossible to even try to have a love life with my schedule

Love:
- my clean bed with fresh sheets
- the weather (sort of, even though it was too cold today)
- I'm trying really hard here! Not able to come up with any more things that I'm loving this week...

This week is weird. I'm not working in an office anymore so I'm working more at home (unless I'm at the hostess club), I'm getting ready to move into the smallest room you can imagine, and I've been on a weird diet that's totally worked. I think it's because I'm not running all over Tokyo like a headless chicken, so I can be more in control of my diet.

But right when you think you'll have more free time, you don't. Assignments crashing down on me. No pressure! Jayzus.

So without further ado, here are my Things on Tuesday:

Loath:

- messy room

- pile of work when I'd rather be doing other stuff

- deadlines

- how sometimes when you take a "short break" from work and lie down to watch tv, you fall asleep

- buying a new dress for work to kill time before clocking in, and then trying it on to find that it looks awful on you

- seeing a dress that you like but don't buy, and then when you go back to get it after all, it's not there anymore

- throwing away/giving away all your dresses anyway because you're moving into a tiny tiny room!

Love:

- the fact that my weird diet is working! I know it's weird, but I bet you it works if you try it

- having the time to actually answer the phone and talk when my best friend calls me

- talk radio podcasts. Deepak Chopra was on the Adam Corolla show, and he said that you should cut out all carbs from your diet (check) and focus on bitter (coffee!), pungent (not sure if that's a check, I'll think about it...does cheese count? does yogurt count?), and astringent (eating tons of tangerines and strawberries, do beets count?) foods. Check, check and check. no wonder it's working!

Quitting time Tuesday

I have just quit my daytime legitimate job. I call myself a workaholic, but the people at my very traditional old Japanese (former) company are super workaholics. They don't have lives, yo. So with that as the context, here are my Things on Tuesday:

Things I Loath:
- arrogant superiors who's sociopathic behavior goes unchecked because people want to look the other way and pretend they're not alcoholics/dangerously belligerent/plaint STUPID
- controlling husbands/boyfriends of my girlfriends
- the damn economy. customers at the club keep getting their fun budgets cut, which means less money for us "working" girls
- getting called to work last minute on my day off and having to wear a crappy dress with rushed makeup and flat hair

Things I Love:
- Sleeping in my warm bed when it's freezing cold outside
- Listening to stressed out (now former) co-workers let off steam about their arrogant superiors
- brushing my teeth with my sonicare
- My awesome family (even though I said that alread)

(Even though it's Wednesday here in Japan!)

Things I Loath:
- Eating too much (overloaded on weird chips my mother brought me, plus we've been eating all the food she missed while in America)
- Not meeting deadlines
- The fact that we're going to my aunt's house for two days and she doesn't have internet (meaning I'll probably not meet deadlines)
- Needing to shower/use the toilet but having to wait

Things I Love:
- My mother visiting
- My warm bed
- Eating good food (ha! You can't win!)
- Seeing my aunts
